What is a plant-based diet? Why would someone willingly give up meat? Can you be healthy without eating any animal-based foods? This session will introduce the idea of a whole foods, plant-based diet made up of the 4 Power Plate food groups and what it can do for longevity, quality of life, and prevention and even reversal of chronic disease.

What's making Americans sick? Are we under-consuming the nutrients we need, or over-consuming the ones we don't? In this session, we'll take a step back and consider the whole of our food landscape, micro and macronutrients, and where the roots of American's poor health really lie. We'll reconsider the Power Plate food groups with an emphasis on practical implementation.
