Inclusive Communication & Accessible Presentation Design
This workshop introduces the ADAPT Framework, a practical model developed to help students embed accessibility into everyday communication. Participants will explore 15 essential accessibility principles across five categories - Accessible Digital Communication, Design & Structure, Alternatives for Text & Media, Inclusive Online Presence, and Technology for Virtual Engagement.

Asantee A. E. Mitchell is an accessibility and higher education professional dedicated to creating inclusive communication and equitable experiences across institutions. She holds an Associate’s in Marketing, a Bachelor’s in Disability Studies, and is currently completing her Master’s in Higher Education at CUNY SPS.
Asantee develops accessibility resources, delivers campus-wide trainings, and leads initiatives that strengthen inclusive communication practices. She created the ADAPT Inclusive Communication framework and has presented at major events including the CUNY Professional Development Conference 2026, SPS Student Association and SPS Human Resources Department.
Alongside her work in accessibility, Asantee serves as a Medical Secretary at Long Island Jewish Hospital, supporting patient services, record management, and departmental operations. She also contributes to community advancement as Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee for the Trinidad and Tobago United Community Association.
A former CUNY SPS Commencement Speaker and student government leader, Asantee has held numerous leadership and advocacy roles at the university level. Across her work, she remains committed to promoting accessibility, cultural responsiveness, and meaningful inclusion in every environment she serves.
