Description
This workshop will feature a screening of “Caribbean Queen,” an award-winning short film that explores the intersectionality of queer joy, Caribbean culture, and belonging in the thriving Caribbean NYC diaspora. Speakers will share their lived experiences through written, oral, and visual storytelling, highlighting challenges, resiliency, joy, and generative ideas for change connected with their experiences of seeking asylum, anti-Asian hate violence, racism, accessing education, and living in the Caribbean diaspora.
